Bank of the Carolinas JV Tournament, 1/28/2014

Despite only having 50 teams this year compared to 56 in 2012 and 60 in 2011, gate receipts and the net profit set a tournament record this year. For the 1st time in history, gate receipts exceeded $25,000 coming in at $26,505, and net profit also set a record with $19,340. This money is given back to the Randolph-Asheboro YMCA ($18,340) and $1,000 given to the Randolph Sports Council which funds scholarships for worthy student-athletes in Randolph County. The 50 teams came from 11 counties in North Carolina, and we also had 3 teams from Australia.

None of this would be possible without the support of Bank of the Carolinas which serves as the lead sponsor and the hard work of David Cross, Randolph County Market President who serves as the main organizer of this event
