You may change your password by logging into Online Banking and clicking the "Change password" option under the "options" drop down menu at the top of your screen.

What information do I get/what accounts can I access with Online Banking? |
On our enrollment form, you may list the Bank of the Carolinas accounts that you would like access to. You must be an owner or signer on the account to access it. |

What kinds of transactions can I do with Online Banking? |
| You may inquire about accounts, transfer funds between accounts, view cleared checks, request stop payments* , pay your bills online **, or download account information to your Microsoft Money software.
* Normal stop payment fee of $30.00 applies
** You must enroll in Online Bill Pay to use this service. |

How do I enroll? |
Simply print and complete our enrollment form and mail or fax it to the location on the form. Or you may drop it off at one of our local branches. We will mail you a temporary password within 2-3 business days of receiving your enrollment form.
You may enroll in Web Bill Pay on the same form or by clicking on the web bill payment enrollment button in online banking. If you cannot view the Web Bill Payment button in online banking, please contact us toll free at 1-877-751-5755. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am until 6pm

part of the overall security measures designed to protect your Internet banking
transactions. Please consult the information below to make sure you are using

Can my joint account holder and I share the same Access ID? |
No, only one individual is allowed per access ID. Joint account holders should enroll separately. |

Can I download files into Quicken with Online Banking? |
Yes! You can export transactions into Quicken® or Quickbooks® files for easy download into your respective software. From the "Transactions" drop-down menu in your account view, select "Export Transactions" and choose which file type to download. This feature is available for both Windows and Mac users. |

Can I transfer money to bank accounts at other banks? |
At this time, personal online banking does not allow transfers to accounts at other banks. If you are a small business owner that requires transfers to other banks, you may consider using our Business Online Banking service. |

What is the difference between a scheduled transfer and an express transfer? |
Scheduled transfers allow you to set up an automatic transfer at a specific time for a specific amount. Express transfers are one-time transfers. They do not show up on your
scheduled transfer list. Once accepted by you, they are considered
complete and transfer the requested funds once. |

Will I be able to view my cleared checks online? |
Yes, you will be able to click on your cleared check number which is hyperlinked in blue and retrieve front and reverse images of your checks. You will also be able to view your deposit tickets online. |

Can I submit a stop payment online? |
Yes, you may submit a stop payment online. A reminder will be mailed to you that you must go to a Bank of the Carolinas branch to sign for your stop payment within 14 days in order for it to be effective. Normal stop payment charges apply. |

How long does it take before my Web Bill Pay service is activated? |
| After we receive your application, your Online Bill Pay service will be activated within 2-3 business days. |

What should the payment date be on my web bill payment? |
Your payment date is the due date listed on your bill. Bill payments cannot be made on the due date. You must allow at least at least 5 business days for processing to avoid late fees and charges. |

How do I stop receiving e-bills? |
You must contact your vendors if you would like to stop receiving e-bills. |
|
Why am I not receiving my requested e-bill? |
Ebill requests can only be generated from one website. If you have requested ebills from both your vendor and Bank of the Carolinas, you must contact your vendor to stop sending ebills and then sign on again from you online banking site. If you continue not to receive your requested ebills, please contact your vendor. |

How safe is my personal information with Online Banking or Web Bill Pay? |
Our system ensures that data-exchanged between your PC and our computers are encrypted with 128-bit encryption - the strongest encryption available. Encryption is accomplished through Secure Sockets Layers (SSL), which utilizes mathematical formulas to 'encrypt' or hide information from prying eyes on the Internet. Additionally, if SSL detects that data was added or deleted after you sent it to the bank, the connection will be severed in order to guard against any tampering. The most popular browsers have the SSL security feature included. |

What does a web bill payment look like on a customer statement? |
Your statement will list web bill payments by the name you assign payees in your Web Bill Pay setup. |

What if a company or individual does not accept electronic payments? |
Checkfree's Web Bill Pay service issues both paper checks and electronic checks according to the vendor's preferences. |

What do I do if I have questions and you're not open? |
We are available Monday - Friday from 8:00 until 6pm to help you with your online banking needs. If you cannot reach us during those hours, you may email us at onlinesupport@bankofthecarolinas.com or leave a message by phone at 1-877-751-5755. We will return your call or email as soon as possible on the next business day. Remember not to email sensitive information such as account numbers or Social Security Numbers, as email is not secure. |
