SHINE Checking is an interest-bearing, checking account created with simplicity and convenience in mind. To qualify, simply use your debit card to make at least 12 purchases each qualification cycle, enroll and receive e-Statements, and set up a direct deposit or automatic debit on your account .*   The services included with SHINE Checking will make life simpler and more convenient. You'll be rewarded just for using them!

Qualifiers

To qualify for our SHINE Checking account, you must meet the following criteria during each qualification cycle:
  • 12 debit card purchases that post and clear within the qualification cycle 
  • Direct Deposit or automatic draft that post and clear within the qualification cycle
  • Enroll and receive monthly e-Statements

*Annual Percentage Yield (APY) effective as of 11/1/2011. $50 minimum deposit to open. APY of 1.25% paid on balances up to $25,000; 0.50% APY paid on balances over $25,000, and ATM fees refunded if the following requirements are met each qualification cycle: direct deposit or ACH auto debit, e-Statement, and 12 debit card point-of-sale purchases that pass and clear within the qualification cycle.  Qualification cycle means a period beginning one business day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one business day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. If requirements are not met, APY of 0.10% will be paid on entire balance and no ATM refunds will be applied.
